First word: dangerous.
Second word: doesn't work.
Your body is smart and capable. The lungs, digestive organs and skin are always cleansing. We are just gonna give 'em a little break from the substances that slow them down and a little boost with some foods that help them do their job. Extreme diets aren't good for you and cause most people to gain weight again immediately because the body is making up for lost nutrients, calories and fat.

If your wellbeing was ONLY determined by what you eat, why does it feel so good to exercise, meditate, stretch, be in nature, hold hands, sleep soundly, listen to music, and laugh?
You are not just your body. Your heart, mind and spirit need to be nourished too. Your relationships, home and presence in the world need your attention. Now more than ever.

Yes, going cold turkey off of caffeine or cutting out all preservative-laden and packaged foods can lead to some intense results. But my approach is an "adding in" (not just eliminating) method.
While the experience will be unique to you and everyone chooses the level at which they participate, the biggest things you'll notice are a gradual peeling away of your food and lifestyle crutches and an easeful remembering of what it feels like to feel in control and aware of your choices.

When we are eating highly processed and inflammatory or food that we have sensitivies to, our body has to work EXTRA hard to digest and assimilate nutrients. That could mean slower digestion, bloating, hormonal imbalance, headaches, mood swings, skin reactions and insomnia.
While there is no ONE perfect diet for everyone, there are many foods that tend to cause problems for many people. When we eliminate these trigger foods, even if just for ten days, we can notice huge shifts in our physical and emotional wellbeing.
When we talk about wellness we aren't just talking about food and our diet. That's just one tiny piece of the puzzle.
A holistic approach to health includes our mindset, relationships, physical wellbeing and our personal and spiritual practices. This might include movement practices, mediation, breath-work, prayer or personal development.
As we cultivate expanded states of health, these other pieces become ever more important to cultivate and examine. It’s a life project, not a quick fix thing kind of thing.
Most cleanses focus on starving you, so you feel worse throughout the process. We know that this method is not only dangerous but really ineffective. Yes, with a caveat ;)
The priority during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be to eat nourishing foods for baby and mama. Since nutritional requirements are increased during this time, I usually recommend that women don't remove any foods from their diet but instead focus on adding in more plant-based and whole foods.
As a mom and a holistic health coach I can recommend a modified approach to this program and customize a nutrition plan for you including food, supplementation and an essential oil protocol.
